The fine folks at HHG Development have scheduled
an open house this coming weekend for their Trenton
Ferry Properties, Everett's Corner and The Cracker
Factory. The developments are a block from each
other so if you come down to Trenton to see one, you
can see both.
The event is Sunday, April 6 from 1-5. You'll want to go to either 102 Centre St. or 242 Centre St. The buildings in question are pretty obvious as they have big "Lofts for Sale" signs hanging from them and lots of construction activity in evidence. |

The new marketing regime at the Broad St. Bank is
apparently on the ball. I've received a new logo and
pics of the model apartment.
Please do take another look at the site and if you're in the market for high rise rental in the city give John Masso a call. |

Gail Johnson's party at BSB
This month I get to be a bit of a social page reporter.
Gail Johnson held her apartment warming at the
Broad St. Bank building last weekend. She has a
lovely two bedroom space with an open kitchen and
living area configuration. She's also got windows on
three sides of her apartment and can see north to
Princeton, well west into Pennsylvania and east past
Hamilton. It was a lovely catered affair.
The mix of people included some of the Trenton regulars Gail has befriended including Brian Hill of the Trenton City Museum and his wife Lin, Anne Labate of Segal Commercial Realty, political activists Zac and Alysia Welch-Chester and of course Michelle, Alexander and me. Into the mix Gail threw old friends from around the state and New York and several Princeton University colleagues. The discussion was lively and all agreed that the Broad St. Bank is a good step towards a more lively downtown Trenton. |

Mercer County Subgroup
The world of real estate investing includes everything
from the family who rents out a house they used to live
in, to multi-billion dollar holding companies and
everything in between. There are a myriad of niche
players as well who offer services in support of
investors.
The investors on the Trenton Lofts list are well aware of this and probably trend towards the "in between". South Jersey Investors is a support club made up of investors from throughout the bottom half of the state. Recently Matt & Liz Faircloth helped to form a Mercer County subgroup of this organization which meets the 4th Thursday of the month in the Trenton Makes Building at 449 S. Broad St. in Trenton. The agenda is part networking and part presentation, generally from a vendor of interest or some other group that has a useful message. Maybe, someday I'll explain Trenton Lofts to the group. Anyhow, I've joined the group and enjoy going and suspect some reading this may as well. The next meeting is April 24th and the topic will be a panel discussion on "Buying Foreclosures". How can you not love that! The meeting is held starting at 6:30 in The Skyline Room of Trenton Makes (aka The Conduit). Hope to see you there and if you do come please find me and let me meet you. |

Another Letter to the Editor
I've finally weighed in on the issue of Trenton's
residency requirement and the sticky issue of whether
Trenton's Police Director should be bound by it. My
article is in the form of a Trenton Times Letter to the
Editor which as of yet hasn't been published.

It's time once again for the famous Ellarslie Open at
the Trenton City Museum in beautiful Cadwalder Park.
The highly competitive juried show draws rock star
level crowds for the opening which is open to the
public and free. I've said it before but Ellarslie is the
cultural and social center of Trenton and the Open is
its premier event.
I encourage those of you who live here or are considering it to attend the Ellarslie Open reception
Time: April 26, 6-9 |
