Leewood Development and The Concerned Pastors
have teamed with architect Frank Moya to develop a
40 unit condo project on S. Broad St. I don't have
pictures yet and the project's not really underway,
pending approvals from every imaginable entity
including the Old Mill Hill Society, of which I'm a
member (I'm also on the ad hoc committee of OMHS
that's reviewing the plan for The Whittaker.)
The Whittaker is named for John Whittaker an important 19th century Trenton businessman and landowner in Mill Moya is calling this project Trenton's version of New York's Dakota. Of course, these units aren't selling for $5,000,000 put they will be on the high end for Trenton which means ~$300,000. The other similarity is that the building is somewhat massive in its street presence and as currently proposed offers limited access into the building. |

Great news! Downtown trenton has new residents living above The Sound of Trenton. I'm sure the new tenants will enjoy their lofty downtown digs.

New web site tracks one of Trenton's social events
Folks considering a move to Trenton should know
what they're in for. It's easy to read about gang
trouble but a bit more difficult to see the inner
workings of social Trenton.
While the Martini Revue is an invitation only party, it's a sign of the emerging social scene in Trenton. There are several such annual functions put on by Trenton's party set that attract the area's eclectic revellers. Most of the Trenton's social fabric is built around our arts institutions and neighborhood associations. Don't plan on being a homebody in Trenton. |
